The Family

Well, I have decided that since everyone and their dog has a family blog, I ought to start one for my family. There are four of us: Jeremy, me (Diana), and our two sons Noah and Ben. We have been married nearly six years (in just a month and six days!). I can't believe it's been that long.

Jeremy goes to school on-line through Western Governor's University. He's studying business marketing. I go to UVU and I am studying English with a focus in creative writing, although Jeremy is trying very hard to convince me to study astronomy instead...I come home from my astronomy class and am so excited by it that I feel I have to tell him everything I've learned, even though he won't understand most of it. =)

Noah is five. He goes to a pre-school right down the road from where we're living (which is currently in Jeremy's parents basement, hopefully changing soon). He has developed a huge attitude and picks on Ben all the time. But he's growing fast and learning a lot. He's super smart and gets bored easily. He loves to play games on our Wii and help Jeremy when he's fixing cars. He asks me everyday if I remember when we went to Disneyland (we went earlier this year) and tells us that he wants to go back. He says the funniest things all the time.

Ben is two (and just barely fell asleep on my shoulder). He got tubes put in his ears in May and ever since then, he's started talking so much more. He loves to play with Noah and gets sad when Noah leaves for school. He is just learning to fight back when Noah picks on him and he usually wins, lately. He's a big and hefty kid. He only weighs four pounds less than Noah even though they're almost three years apart!

Jeremy has been out of work for a while and trying different things to earn money. Finally, he got a call from three different places saying they needed him temporarily. We're calling them his "if jobs." IF they need help, then they'll call him. Two of them are HVAC stuff and the other one is doing paperwork kind of stuff for his brother. Luckily, all of them need him right now.

For the month of November, I entered a competition to write a 50,000 word, 175-page novel in 30 days (right now I am procrastinating working on it). I'm currently behind, but I WILL do it. Even if I have to stay up all night one or two nights! Because the 30th is in a week (holy hannah, that's WAY too close). After I get this book written, edited, and am satisfied with it, I have an idea for another book. I'm also already writing yet another book, but it's taking me a REALLY long time because it's taking a lot of research. Hopefully one day all of this writing will pay off and maybe I can get a book or two published! I would love that.

Anyway, that's our family for now. =)
