January (and a little bit of February) 2011

I can't believe January is already over. Time just seems to be going faster and faster. We spent New Year's Eve at my in-laws where we're living. We played games most of the night and then watched the ball drop. Ben had a nap that day, so he was awake until about one. Jeremy and Noah went to bed before then, though. School started again for me the next week. It was nice to have a break and I wasn't ready for it to start again. But now I'm back into the swing of things.

The 15th was my birthday. Jeremy and I went out with some of my friends on the day of which was nice. They brought me a mini-cake and sang happy birthday to me. Jeremy and I got to dance, which is something we haven't done in a long time, so I was happy. Then the next day, Jeremy and his mom made me dinner, mushroom tetrazzani. It was sooooo yummy. I really enjoyed it. We had bought some cheesecake for my cake and so they sang happy birthday and I got to open some presents. It was really nice.

The next week Jeremy and I got to spend a night in the Mysteries of Egypt room in the Anniversary Inn. It was so nice to be able to have a night away! My sister was awesome and watched the kids for us over night, so we came back really relaxed. It was an awesome birthday. Thank you everyone who helped make it so nice! =)

Noah has started reading. He is already really good for his age! He's so smart, I can't believe it. I'm going to talk to his pre-school teacher today about "checking out" one of the books she has for the kids to read in. He loves it, so it's good. I'm also trying to get him to stop playing games so much. He plays them way too much and gets mad at me when I tell him it's time to turn them off. I signed him up for Tae Kwon Do lessons which he starts in March, but he is so excited for them. He keeps asking me when his "Kung Fu" lessons are.

Ben is currently screaming at me because he's mad about something, but who knows what? He's always crying or upset about something. But he is learning so much more, too. He talks more each day and will sometimes surprise me with the new sentences that he says.

Jeremy's been working really hard at Pro and with his brother. He went to Montana twice last month, which sucked. I hate having him be away from us over night. But we're trying really hard to be in our own place soon, so he felt it was necessary. He has a cold right now but won't take some time to just relax. Everyone seems to be demanding his time and wanting him to do something for him and he won't just say, "No, I'm too tired."

We took the kids to the circus on the second. We had so much fun. I've never been to a circus and neither have the kids. It was really neat to see everything. Noah got his face painted and we all got to ride on an elephant. Ben was really weirded out by the elephant ride, but had fun. The next day he wouldn't stop talking about it.

So that was our January. We're still looking for a place to move into. I'm really hoping we can find something soon, because it feels like we're such an inconvenience here at my in-laws. It's been really hard. We really just need our own place. So if you know of something in the North Orem to Cedar Hills/Highland to Lehi area, let us know!
