February 2011

All right, well, February has, of course, flown past. Which means it's time for our monthly update. Noah started Tae Kwon Do lessons (tonight in fact, so I guess that's part of March). He loved them. He seems to be A.D.D. though. He kept getting distracted-by the mirror in particular. It was so fun to watch him. He's excited to go back next week and I'm excited to be able to work with him on it until then. I stayed and watched (obviously) while he did it, so I learned a bit too! At least I'll be able to teach him to do it. The teacher is young (probably 18 or 19) and he had about 14 kids to teach, so I think that he had a hard time giving each kid the attention they really needed if they're going to learn anything. Anyway, Noah seemed to enjoy it, so after this introductory class is over, I think I'll try to find a more serious class to put him in.

Jeremy's still working at Professional Heating and Air Conditioning, luckily. He hates it, especially since he has to get up so early, but we're grateful for the money it brings in!! We're still trying to find a place to move into (we look at a house this week in north Orem, cross your fingers that we get it!!) and he's hoping wherever we end up there's a garage. He wants to buy this plasma cutter thing a ma jig (I don't know what the heck it is) to start building things out of metal. Then he'll sell them for some extra income. So if you need a bed or railing or decorative art out of metal, call us or contact us! He's really good (I'll make sure to post a photo of the bed he made me). He even used to build railings for a house company, but they ended up going under and couldn't pay us anymore. That's how good he is.

We have started potty training Ben. He's doing *pretty* good. He has a couple accidents a day still, mostly because he just doesn't want to take the time to go potty. I wish I could just explain to him that if he would have gone potty we wouldn't have to change his clothes and underwear (no more diapers for him!) because that takes as much time as if he had just gone potty. Oh well. Hopefully it'll click soon. He gets so excited when he does go that I think it'll come soon. I just need to give it some time.

I'm doing school. That's about it for me. Oh, and I cut my hair. Otherwise, nothing is new for me. =)
